For Even Lower Rates: Secure a personal loan with the funds in your regular share account or term share certificate (CD).
Share Secured/ CD Secured
Your savings account balance is finally where you'd like to keep it and you're not sure you want to pay cash or get a loan. Consider a Share-Secured loan. Use your Share Savings Account with the credit union as collateral. Your interest rate is fixed and lower than an unsecured loan, while your share savings is still intact and earning dividends.
Features:
* Interest rate is fixed, based on the current prime rate
* Term up to 60 months
* Continue to earn dividends on savings balance
* Portion of the savings will be available to withdraw equal to the amount of principal paid on the loan
CD Secured
While you're earning a higher dividend on your money by investing your savings in a share certificate (CD), you can use it as collateral for a loan for a lower rate than an unsecured loan.
Features:
* Interest rate on the loan is fixed, based on the current prime rate or 1% above the current Term Share Certificate rate,
whichever is greater
* Term of the loan matches the maturity of the Term Share Certificate
* Term Share Certificate earns dividends at a higher rate than the savings

Need money for tuition? Get control of your budget and sign up for a one-year term loan for a low rate. Check is made payable to the school.
